Cosmic Rules & Safety

Parents know the difference when they play at Cosmic. They can feel the care and time that has gone into maintenance, safety and quality control. Parents love our safety features-  keeping little ones safe within the facility among friends, at all times. After 20 years serving families in the Ottawa area, our safety record speaks for itself! Our dedicated management /owners and their extreme concern for children and their access to clean safe fun drive our days here at Cosmic. We are parents too!

To help us uphold our high level of safety and security, we ask for your cooperation with the following rules:

 

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

 

Please note that Cosmic Adventures is a shoe-free facility. Everyone must come with a pair of socks, including adults.

 

Cosmic tries its best to operate a nut-free environment. As such, no outside food or drinks are allowed on the premises.

 

Facility Safety:

Secure Front Entry

Our gates are monitored, allowing our staff to personally connect with every family. No adults or teens are allowed in, unless visiting with a child for play. Parents do not need to worry about "strangers off the street". We ensure that at Cosmic, no one is a stranger. All exits are secured, and kids can't get out without their families.

 

Toddler-safe play areas

Because not all kids 12 and under are the same, it's important to us to ensure all ages can have safe fun. Cosmic maintains 2 soft play areas for our littlest people. Even babies under one will find age-appropriate toys in a safe, quieter area. For more on Cosmic Toddlers areas, click here.

 

Daily Inspections

You can never be too careful! That is why our procedures include an entire-facility check, allowing our staff to inspect the structure and play equipment to ensure it is as safe as always.

 

Rigid cleaning procedures

When you have this many children enjoying this many giggles, you have to expect germs to hang around. Cosmic's cleaning team works throughout the day, and nights to keep things as clean as can be. And it shows! We work closely with the health inpectors, and we have an excellent track record. Many of our managers and owners have young children that play here frequently. We're parents too!

 

Food Safety:

Knowledgable staff and smart procedures

The Galaxy Grill staff are professional food service operators that continually re-train in proper food safety procedures and requirements. Our managers take their roles to heart, and you will find mature experienced staff on our leadership team.

 

Baked, not fried

As a matter of philosophical difference, our Cosmic team has chosen to serve only baked foods at the Galaxy Grill. We opted to leave the deep fryer out. We offer many healthy side options.

 

Nut-Free Zone

Cosmic Adventures has held a nut-free environment for more than 18 years now, allowing all our patrons to breathe easier.

Many key staff are up to date in the latest safety procedures. We make it our mandate to ensure your kids are in prepared hands.

The key to safety is prevention. As a part of our regular routine, we tour the facility with our safety checklist. We ensure preparedness within our staff community.
